The Sun is linked to our personality and who we are as people. In this way our Progressed Sun is an important aspect to look at on a natal chart and can tell us a lot about our identity and how things are likely to manifest for us as a result.

Progressed Sun conjunct Ascendant:

At this time, you will see that your star is on the rise. It’s literally like shining a light on yourself and you may have felt as if you were being kept in the shadows all this time. If you want to get ahead and use your public image then this is the time to do it and you will be much more visible than in past years. Use the spotlight well.

Progressed Sun sextile or trine Ascendant:

You will naturally get an image upgrade when the Progressed Sun is sextile or trine with the Ascendant. You do however need to be proactive about this and show others why you should be taken seriously. If you work the limelight then you will reap the rewards but you need to have a clear plan of what you want to achieve.

Progressed Sun square or opposite Ascendant:

When the Progressed Sun is square or opposite the Ascendant the focus shifts slightly away from your sense of self and how you come across to others and instead focuses more on relationships. You will find that the light shines on how you interact with those around you and how you live your life in a more general sense.

Progressed Sun conjunct Midheaven:

This time sends you a rush of ambitious energy and you will feel more focused and driven. This is positive, but be careful that this drive doesn’t come at the expense of you relationships.

Progressed Sun sextile or trine Midheaven:

Your star is still on the rise and you could reap the rewards of success without having to try very hard, if you did the work and laid some groundwork beforehand. Your reputation will be glowing and people will want to work with you and collaborate as a result.

Progressed Sun square or opposition Midheaven:

Now the focus will be less on your outward appearance and more on the inner self. The sense of drive and self promotion will wane and you will be more interested in those around you and in securing your close relationships and living arrangements. At this time people usually become more sociable and crave the company of others.

Progressed Sun conjunct Moon:

The Moon focuses on our inner personality and you are likely to see how you can balance this and your outer goals like your career. There is a strong sense of harmony now and you may be able to get a grip on an unstable situation that has plagued your for a while.

Progressed Sun sextile or trine Moon:

When the Progressed Sun is sextile or trine Moon it can feel as if you have finally found your feet and there will be harmonious energy everywhere. People will flock to you for advice as you seem so cool, calm, and collected.

Progressed Sun square or opposition Moon:

Your confidence might take a hit as you are not sure which direction is the best one to take. The way you feel and the things you thought you wanted to achieve may suddenly seem different and it can cause you to doubt yourself. You may also find it difficult to read people close to you which leads to a general sense of confusion.

Progressed Sun conjunct Mercury:

Intellectual Mercury is now going to shine a light on plans and intentions and you will find that you are suddenly able to articulate your thoughts far more clearly. If communication felt stuck it will suddenly become unblocked. If you want to pitch an idea or ask for a pay rise for example, then now is an excellent time to do it and success is likely to follow.

Progressed Sun sextile Mercury:

Things fall into place and you can be sure of your decisions. If you have been struggling to ‘do the right thing’ then you will find that you have a much better grip on reality and any decisions you make are likely to work out well for you. This is a time when you can reliably trust your instincts.

Progressed Sun conjunct Venus:

Venus is naturally charming and this planet brings you a huge dose of charisma. This is a time when you will feel sure of yourself and in control and you will not be shy about going after the things you want. Thanks to supportive Venus you will probably get it as people just can’t say no to you.

Progressed Sun sextile or trine Venus:

This can be a joyful time when good things will come to you and you are free to enjoy them. This is also a period when you can trust your instincts and follow your heart as is it likely to lead you to good places.

Progressed Sun conjunct Mars:

Mars bursts into the picture bringing all of its drive and energy with it. If you have been cruising then suddenly you will find that you want to get in the fast lane and accelerate. If you want to go after something then this is a good time to do it but be careful of the other side of Mars’ energy. You could feel more aggressive than usual and prone to arguments with those around you.

Progressed Sun sextile or trine Mars:

You still have great reserves of energy which keep propelling you forward. Things can come easily now and you will tackle any obstacles in your path with ease.

Progressed Sun square or opposition Mars:

Mars’ energy wants to push you forward which is a good thing if you know where you want to go. If you have not made solid plans however this can cause you to veer off course and the demanding energy can make you unattractive to others. Make sure that you are pushing forward in the right direction and that you are sure of what you want before you trample over people to get it.

Progressed Sun conjunct Jupiter:

With Jupiter in the mix you will get a boost of self confidence which will reach other people. Those around you will want to work with you and you will be an attractive proposition in this sense. On the other hand, make sure that you are not so overly confident that it becomes obnoxious.

Progressed Sun sextile or trine Jupiter:

Jupiter pushes us to live the best version of our lives we can. If you have wanted to make some moves then you may find that Jupiter wants you to make them even bigger and more ambitious. This is a time to dream big and not put limits on your vision.

Progressed Sun square or opposition Jupiter:

The Progressed Sun square or opposition Jupiter can cause us to push at things that may simply not be working. By all means experiment at this time and if you don’t get your way on one project, think about how you can expand another. This is a time when you need to adapt if things don’t go the way you want them to.

Progressed Sun conjunct Saturn:

Saturn makes us focus on obligation and duty- whether we want to or not! Reality hits at this time reminding us of all the things we need to do and the responsibilities that we have for ourselves and those around us. This can be a tough time as you can feel bogged down in the minutiae of dealing with all the little things.

Progressed Sun sextile or trine Saturn:

You may need broad shoulders now as people will tend to flock to you looking for answers. You will be a good source of advice but use this wisely and don’t get burned out by helping those close to you and not focusing on yourself as well.

Progressed Sun square or opposition Saturn:

Saturn can make us picky and critical as we pick up its energy and this can be with those close to us or with ourselves. We can get too introspective at this time and we may be unkind. Look on the positives and don’t dwell on past mistakes. Cut yourself some slack and focus on moving forward.

Progressed Sun conjunct Uranus:

The energy of Uranus pushes us to experiment and think outside the box. People usually turn away from the traditional at this time and your imagination can be fired up and the sky may seem like the limit. You do however need to be cautious and temper this a little so that your goals are still realistic.

Progressed Sun sextile or trine Uranus:

There will be a sense of confidence now as you dream big, perhaps bigger than you have for a long time. You will only be limited by your own imagination and you will have some off the wall ideas. The trick is to see if these can really work in your life, and if so then by all means forge ahead.

Progressed Sun square or opposition Uranus:

The energy now can be difficult to get a handle on. You will have so many ideas that they will be flying around in your mind and the trick will be to focus on the ones that are realistic and worthwhile. This can lead to a lack of focus however and you may have so many competing plans that you end up getting nothing done.

Progressed Sun conjunct Neptune:

Neptune comes along with all of its watery energy. Issues that were hidden can get dredged up from the depths and there is a heavier mood at this time. Emotions tend to become more introspective and with this watery planetary energy it is unwise to try and pin down projects or people. Keep things fluid.

Progressed Sun sextile or trine Neptune:

There is a keen sense of intuition now and you would do well to follow it. Don’t doubt yourself, and things are likely to work out for the best. Have confidence in your abilities and decision making skills.

Progressed Sun square or opposition Neptune:

You still need time to dwell on things, and the Progressed Sun square or opposition Neptune provides this. If you can, put off making big decisions or sudden moves and focus on planning and waiting. The time will come to make your move.

Progressed Sun conjunct Pluto:

Pluto is an intense and obsessive planet, so when the Progressed Sun is conjunct Pluto you will be forced to dig deep. Issues that you hoped would stay buried could bubble to the surface and you will be forced to deal with them. This can be a challenging time but it is also a necessary one to sift through all the rubble.

Progressed Sun conjunct North Node of the Moon:

Make no mistake; this is not an easy time. You will often find that you are being held accountable for things that happened in the past and you will need to atone for any mistakes. This could be with others or could be something like attending to your health after living an unhealthy lifestyle for too long.

Progressed Sun conjunct South Node of the Moon:

This is also a trying time and a frustrating one. It can feel like you can’t make progress and you may find you are thwarted at every turn. Relax and let these things work themselves out and don’t kick too much against the tide. This is a time to learn from your mistakes so that you don’t keep repeating the same toxic patterns.
