Major Planetary Aspects and the Stock Market

Planetary cycles have a greater influence on the movement in the stock market, and this is not just an opinion but is based on the natal chart. The planetary cycle is defined as the period in which the planet has fully completed its orbit around the Sun and to another planet. The planets that are known to have long cycles and influences are the outer planets, such as, Uranus, Saturn, Pluto, and Neptune.  It is noted that when an outer planet forms a Ptolemaic hard aspect or a 0-degree conjunction, 90 degrees square and 180 degrees opposition, there will be a major movement in the stock market. It can be recalled that the astrological community was vocal about the implications of the Saturn-Uranus cycle from 2009 to 2010 and the Pluto-Uranus cycle from 2012 to 2015. The Saturn-Uranus cycle could last from 10 to 12 years while the Pluto-Uranus cycle occurs once in 40 years.

The cycles play a role in the movement of the economy for decades, like what happened since the Great Recession.  Astrologers sum up that Pluto-Uranus cycle is the torch bearer of social and political upheaval since they are big planets. This cycle had an impact in the early 1930s, middle of the 1960s and until 2015, where Pluto and Uranus met five times from 2012 to 2015. Their meetings happened in 2012 summer and returned in September 2012. The square took place on May 16, 2013, where Pluto-Uranus’s propensity had something to do with rebellion and social upheaval that happened coincidentally during the attack on the U. S. Embassy in Libya and the Egyptian presidential elections.

The secular cycles that coincide with the cycle in Pluto and Uranus triggered the inflationary shifts in the market from the Roaring Twenties to the 1930s, the bull market in the 1950s, the high-inflation rate in the mid-60s, and the deflation of the Great Moderation that started in the mid-1980s until the last decade. It is true that history repeats itself, as the planetary cycle also repeats. Whatever happened in the past should serve as a lesson, and this is how the planetary cycles operate. By knowing the planetary cycles, we should be aware of what is to be expected in the future and to move forward from the bondage of the past. Some people tend to look back on the past and never follow what astrologers are telling them on what they can do to avert the negative circumstances brought about by the negative aspects.

If you take a closer look of the economic happenings in the world and compare the planetary aspects, there is a strong correlation between them. Astrologers believe that whatever movements on the planet, the trends in the economy could also be affected. When there is planetary harmony, expect the economy to improve and stabilize; while planets that are positioned at an angle brings disturbance, cha, s and doubts, could in effect result to social unrest, discord that may affect the economic trend and the stock market.

What about the Pluto Uranus Square?

Pluto-Uranus cycle met again three times before 2015 ended. At this time the bond market showed signs of peaking, where during the New Year, there was a decline of the 20+year TLT at 10/50. The astrological community concluded that inflation had something to do with the planetary cycle that occurred during this period. The significant decline in the stock market was a global trend as the planetary aspects could be negative or positive, depending on the number of degrees they are apart between two planets.

The Positive Aspects

The positive aspects that could upturn the stock market include planets 60° and 120° apart from the Earth’s perspective. There are numerous positive planetary aspects that can propel the upturn in the forex and stock market. The 120 ° aspect is the equivalent of 240 °, which is translated into 360 ° minus 120 °.

The Negative Aspects

The negative aspects in planetary cycles can result in the downturn in the stock market. An example for this is the planets at 90 ° and 180 ° away from each other from the Earth’s perspective.

When there is 0 ° angle between two planets or planetary conjunctions, it could either be negative or positive. A positive conjunction is Mercury-Venus and negative conjunction is Mars-Jupiter.

In assessing the negative and positive aspects, based on the Donald Bradley Sidedograph, it says that there are numerous planetary aspects that are positive in nature. The Bradley Sidedograph tells us that there are negative aspects that result in the downturn of the economy. This tool is helpful towards identifying the points where there are long-term to medium movement rather than on a short-term basis.

Heliocentric Aspects and Geocentric Aspects

How do we know if there is truth behind the Bradley Sidedograph in assessing the economic trends for particular planetary cycle/aspects? The basis of the geocentric planetary aspects is taken from the angular measurements that can be viewed from the Earth. If you are not satisfied with this calculation, you can also use the heliocentric aspects where the angular measurements are calculated from the Sun’s perspective. This particular aspect happens when both planets have an angular relationship with one another, such as trine, square, conjunction or opposition, this in regards to the central point. The point could commence from the Earth or geocentric or from the Sun (heliocentric). In either case, you will have an idea of how these aspects can affect the movement in the stock market for a particular period or decade.

The aspects in standard astrology are based on the angular measures from the Earth’s viewpoint called geocentric. Today’s astrologers would like to think that this phenomenon could be translated aan s electro-physical phenomenon. It is believed that the Earth has its own radial field wherein there are continued disturbances caused by linear interferences coming from the electromagnetic fields of its neighboring planets. The geometric axial structure should cause us alarm as they can affect the economy given that the aspects are said to negative.  Bradley preferred to use the Geocentric perspective (coming from the Earth) rather than utilizing the Heliocentric perspective (coming from the Sun).
