Astrology will Tell You When is The Best Time to have Surgery!

Jan 6, 2017 | Astrology, Uncategorized

Need to Know When You Should Decide to have Surgery? Read on for some very important things to consider!

The two main planets to look out for first are Mercury which is the ruler of Doctors and Mars which is the ruler of surgery, both of these planets MUST be in good aspects to your natal chart planets & cusp, and you do not want to choose a time when either planet are at a hard or difficult angle!  Venus can also come into play if the surgery you are having is cosmetic in nature as Venus rules beauty. Lastly, we also need to look at the Sun and the Moon, as well as the planet that is linked to the part of the body that we are having surgery on.

For many of us, surgery is scary! Just hearing the word can set off emotional alarms & wreak havoc with our minds! Even elective surgery can be one of the most important decisions that we have to make. It’s well known never to have surgery during a full moon & 3 days after also, because of the issue of bleeding more.  It can be a nerve-wracking time trying to decide when would be the best time, what would enhance our recovery by choosing a certain time & date, & that is if we have a choice! Many times, we do not have the luxury of having a choice when it comes to surgery! Madness!

To that end, it is very important to note which sign and thus which planet rules which part of the body. Read on to learn more about each sign & what part of the body each sign represents below...

Aries: (First House-Mars Rules)

Aries is the ruler of the head, face, brain, and eyes. This is often why Aries like to be touched on the head but also why they tend to suffer from ailments such as tension headaches/migraines. It’s also interesting to note that Aries can often be rather clumsy people who are prone to accidents and often accidentally hitting themselves on the head.

Taurus: Second House-Venus Rules)

Taurus rules the neck, throat, vocal cords and thyroid. Many Taureans often have a thick-set neck and they usually have mellifluous voices and make wonderful singers. They are however also prone to throat issues like tonsillitis.

Gemini: (Third House-Mercury Rules)

Gemini rules the arms, shoulders, fingers, lungs, and nervous system. This is why people often say that those born under the sign of Gemini are live wires who can seem nervous when you first meet them or have a certain kind of nervous restless energy about them.

Cancer: (Forth House-Moon Rules)

Cancer is the sign of the mother and rules the breasts and womb as well as the stomach and chest. They can be prone to chest infections and other ailments associated with these body parts.

Leo: Fifth House-Sun Rules)

Leo is ruled by the Sun and the body parts associated with this sign are the heart, spine, lower back, and chest. They are very strong individuals who can carry a huge amount of emotional weight on their backs, but they can also suffer from back problems and issues such as curvature of the spine.

Virgo: (Sixth House-Mercury Rules)

The parts of the body associated with Virgo are the digestive system, intestines, stomach, and spleen. Gut related issues are common for those born under this sign, but they are also said to be wise and have a strong sense of intuition or gut instinct at the same time. Interestingly, as the patriarch of the zodiac, those born under the sign of Virgo can often be quite obsessive about their health and tend to take good care of themselves.

Libra: (Seventh House-Venus Rules)

Libra rules the kidneys and the lumbar area of the lower back as well as the buttocks. It also often applies to skin and people born under the sign of Libra usually have beautiful clear complexions.

Scorpio: (Eight House-Pluto Rules & Mars Co-Rules)

Scorpio is often said to be one of the sexier signs, and with that in mind, the sign of the Scorpion does indeed rule the sexual organs as well as the bowels, bladder, and rectum. Those born under this sign are often noted to have a high sex drive but this can also cause them to suffer from ailments associated with the genitals.

Sagittarius: (Ninth House- Jupiter Rules)

Sagittarius rules the liver, hips, thighs, and sciatic nerve. People born under this sign often have shapely legs, even if they rarely work out, however, they can also suffer from leg pains or broken bones in the legs.

Capricorn: (Tenth House-Saturn Rules)

Capricorn rules the skeletal system as well as the teeth, knees, and joints. They often risk hurting themselves by causing injury to their bone structure, such as to their knees or back.

Aquarius: (Eleventh House-Uranus Rules & Saturn Co-Rules)

The sign of Aquarius rules the circulatory system and the calves, ankles, and lower legs like the shins. As a result, common injuries or ailments include things such as issues with an Achilles tendon or another kind of ankle injury.

Pisces: (Twelfth House-Neptune Rules & Jupiter Co-Rules)

Pisces rules the lymphatic system as well as the toes and feet. Despite this, they can often be a bit unsteady on their feet and they tend to trip over their own legs.

When considering when to have surgery, there are sometimes that are naturally a lot better than others and other times  we definitely need to avoid. Fortunately, we can look to astrology for when these might be. And note: The above is not to say if you are not born under one of the signs, you will not suffer health issues as indicated by the zodiac signs, it depends on how the transits are affecting your natal planets,  Example: I'm a Capricorn with a Virgo rising, I have Saturn in my natal 6th house in the sign of Pisces, which means I will always have cold feet & suffer feet issues. Also, I have Mars in my natal first house, I will always have tension and migraine issues! Especially when a transiting planet sets off my natal planets my health problems become more intense!

Good times to have surgery:

A week before a New Moon, for example, is an auspicious time for surgery as is the time when trines and sextile are transiting Mars. Another positive aspect to look for is the Moon being in a fixed sign, so Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius. All of these aspects above will ensure that this is a good time for you to elect to have surgery. But of course, there is more to it then the above, one has to consider the whole chart, as a whole. That is why is it so important to know how the transits (& progressed charts must…must…must-be used when deciding this) are affecting your natal planets, there is more to Astrology then reading one’s horoscope in your local newspaper…which is ridiculously funny & has no merit.

Bad times to have surgery:

If possible, try to avoid not only the Moon being void of course as this is a cloudy period when people are not operating at their best. Another thing to look out for is the Moon being in your opposite sign. Other times to avoid are obviously Mercury Retrograde but also Mars Retrograde, and there is really no worse time to elect to have surgery than at these times, unless of course, it is an emergency, in which case you should not delay your surgery even if it looks like an unfavorable time to have it. Retrograde periods, however, mean that communications are jumbled and tempers can flare. People tend to feel flustered and on edge around these times, and as such they are best avoided if you can. The full moon is also not good!

When choosing a surgery date, it is also important to look at when the Moon is in the sign that rules the part of the body that you are having surgery on and try to avoid that period. For example, if you are having throat surgery, then you would want to avoid the time when the Moon is in Taurus, as Taurus rules the throat. We also need to look for other aspects like hard squares, so if Mars is transiting square with a planet like stern Saturn then this would definitely not be a good time to consider going under the knife. The same also goes for oppositions, such as Mars opposite Mars, which is not a good transition to have for a surgery day. There is so much that goes into an Astrology Reading, it is complicated but at the same time is very rewarding!

Testimonial: Hello, Bree
Here is my Testimonial. I contacted Bree for a date for the best time for my Hip replacement surgery. She
worked on it and came up with two dates. She mentioned that If I did it early then
there might be a problem with infections. My Doctor wanted to do it early, I held
off for the date that Bree mention. I had the surgery and everything went better
than expected. And by the way I got a UTI on the early date so I could of not gone
in anyway. It was cleared up by the right dates. That is the infection I would of
had in recovery If I went with the Doctors dates. So with that I really trust Bree
and have used her many times for readings to get a good Idea of what is coming and
preparing for it. This is a report that I look forward to getting every time.Cheryl Hancock

Thank you for the post…I would NOT recommend having surgery when moon is in Scorpio! Which rules knives, cutting, surgeons and, being a water sign, heavy bleeding w a water planet. (Not to mention death)
Too many cons for the limited value of being a fixed sign….and traditionally the one time of year(sun in Scorp.) where aspects need to be beneficent to that particular sign as well as your own natal aspects.

Also am just curious why you would call Virgo ‘the patriarch of the zodiac’ ?….when traditionally– in western astrology at least –Capricorn and (sometimes Aquarius w its traditional assignation, before Uranus) are the signs ruled by Saturn…. which is THE archetype for the father/ the wise old man/Teacher/authority/ Patriarch. Virgo is ‘assimilation’. Guts processing nutrition and waste physically, and metaphorically being the last of the ‘I/ME’ signs, the transmuter of the ego into service to others. Behind -the-scenes-helper. Harvest. The earth sign that assimilates the Earth’s bounty that started w Taurus in the spring, and gathers and harvests…thanks

@CarolWinn Hi Carol! I’d love to help but it honestly takes your whole astrology chart! There are so many moving parts, ie…void of moon, & Mars, (many others planet to consider as well…many moving parts) & I always have to state by law I’m not a doctor & it’s best to consult your doctor first & foremost! But one thing I will add is if it were me & I had a choice I would not have a knee replacement during a full moon. Many blessings, Bree
